Friday Night Art Walk with special guest Sofie van Brunschot,
led by Anne-Marie Ros
Friday, 12 June, 19.30–21.00 | Free

In collaboration with BKOR and as part of the Rotterdam Architecture Month, we are organising a special Friday Night Art Walk from Delfshaven to Keilewerf / M4H.

Our guest is architect and founder of Gebouwen door Vrouwen, Sofie van Brunschot — a platform dedicated to making the work of female architects more visible.

Together with art guide Anne-Marie Ros, you will be taken on a crossover journey through architecture, art, and public space.

We will follow Sofie’s route past several projects that helped shape the face of Rotterdam, often without widespread recognition. Along the way, she will speak about the work of architects including Ineke Hulshof, Marja Haring, Helen Zhang, and Estelle Barriol, and about how the work of female architects remained underrepresented for many years.

Through the perspective of art, Anne-Marie will encourage us to look at the city more consciously. We will pause at a concrete sculpture, graphic façade art, early post-war reconstruction artworks, and the dynamic neon work The riGHT tO RighT/WronG.

We will conclude at the flexible Materialenwerf in M4H, where materials, reuse, and circular thinking become part of a broader conversation about visibility, public space, and who is given a place in the city.

After a raffle of a BKOR art publication among participants, we will end the evening informally with a drink and conversation (at your own expense).
