BKOR Art Walk: From Price to Price
BKOR is excited to announce the 2nd art walk, "From Price to Price," on Sunday morning, December 1st, due to the great success of the previous event! This walk is based on the new route map released for the Kunsthal exhibition, "Matter of Place," by Thomas J. Price.
Join art guide Anne-Marie Ros as we explore a selection of artworks that serve as reflections or amplifications of our perceptions, thoughts, and feelings. We will discuss intriguing questions such as: Why do Thomas J. Price's sculptures have hollow eyes? Why does Picasso's Sylvette always present herself from a different angle? And how does a bag of rubble resemble a female figure? Together, we will interpret the meaning behind the artworks we encounter, delving into themes of emotion, power, and representation.
The walk will conclude with a visit to Thomas J. Price's solo exhibition at the Kunsthal, stopping at the sculpture "Reaching Out," which is temporarily displayed in the square in front of the Kunsthal.
At the beginning of the walk, participants will receive the new Rotterdam Art Route, "From Price to Price," which can also be downloaded from bkor.nl.
Please register by emailing with the subject "BKOR Walk 1-12" and indicate whether you have a valid Museum Card, Rotterdam Pass, or ICOM membership. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email.
