‘Small Gestures, Big System: Propositions for the Current Healthcare System’ – Featuring Artists: ALTR Collective, Colette Aliman, Clementine Schmidt, Radical Data.
Curated by Rawad Baaklini and Tess de Ruiter.
In the exhibition 'Small Gestures, Big System: Propositions for the Current Healthcare System,' artists and designers collaborate with doctors and researchers to explore new perspectives on healthcare challenges. Key issues being addressed include staff shortages and rising costs, along with the role of technology in addressing these challenges. This exhibition is the result of a collaboration that took place during ArtEra’s summer school, themed 'The Consulting Room of the Future'. Fifteen students and young professionals worked alongside artists and designers, utilizing insights from scientists at Erasmus MC, TU Delft, and Erasmus University Rotterdam.

with Colette Aliman and Miguelángel Clerc Parada
Join us at Erasmus MC for a unique workshop inviting sound engineers, artists, doctors, nurses, and students to co-create through sound. We’ll explore listening as a transformative experience that shapes our connection in spaces of care. Guided by sound artist Colette Aliman and composer Miguelángel Clerc Parada, participants will engage in listening walks, field recordings, and intuitive sound editing. This workshop extends the Centring Listening in Designed Places of Care at the ArtEra current exhibition, Small Gestures, Big System.
