‘Geduld van het landschap’ –
Vivian Ammerlaan, solo exhibition
Geduld van het landschap (The Patience of the Landscape) brings together a selection of works by artist Vivian Ammerlaan, created between 2024 and 2026, alongside new works in which her artistic research continues to unfold.
In recent years, Ammerlaan’s practice has increasingly shifted towards analogue photographic processes, in which light, chemistry, paper and time all contribute to the formation of the image. The process slows down and requires attention, patience, and a willingness to relinquish some control. This creates space for the unexpected. Not everything can be conceived in advance; some images only reveal themselves through the process.
