Wasteland Social Kids is a story about freedom and social change in response to the effects of globalization. Monos, Silver, and Nikos have transformed an abandoned factory into a studio, turning its walls into galleries that depict the alienation caused by hyper-capitalism and social unrest. They create oversized black-and-white murals featuring distorted political figures and everyday objects from Greece, evoking feelings of state violence and nationalist hatred. The artwork addresses social inequality and the complexities of choice in a changing society, provoking thought without being overly explicit. The project includes a mural exhibition at Murals Inc. and a collaborative piece at Art Rotterdam, which collectively reinforce the project's powerful themes.
